The Last Night

THE LAST NIGHT (19 minutes), Written and Directed by Nick Job, is a poignant film about a middle aged actor priced out of his Manhattan apartment – contemplating giving up on his dream.

BEAUTIFULLY portrayed by Anthony Grasso in the lead role, the film follows his character on his last night in New York before giving up his apartment. Grasso gives a raw, thought provoking performance. Even his gestures are filled with emotion.

Beautiful Cinematography by Noah Hutton. The film  includes a  green undertone – emoting a feeling of despair.

“Sometimes I wake up and I wonder, what’s the point? What’s the point of being here? Why? It’s rough right? Here we are, moving through life…” and Grasso’s exit on these lines, along with the score, make this moment powerful and relatable.

Shannon Hamm, as a supporting cast member, is wonderful as Marilyn.

For anyone who has had a dream that real life has interfered with, this will connect you to the journey.
