INTERVIEW WITH DIRECTOR – VICTORIA BALTAG
BASED ON TRUE EVENTS, Baltag’s film deals with a time between 1949 and 1951 when, following the establishment of the Communist regime, all students were imprisoned and “re-educated”. The students were tortured or killed if they did not obey. The subject of the Pitesti Experiment was seldom discussed. Baltag’s film is the first feature film on this matter.

“TAKE2 INDIE REVIEW SITS DOWN WITH DIRECTOR – CHRIS ESPER …” – I was born and raised in New Jersey. I had grown up in Bayonne. When I was 14 years old, my family and I moved to Rhode Island, where we had family on my father’s side. I ended up going to high school and college there. Currently, I reside in Massachusetts.

My childhood was split between New Jersey and Illinois. I was born in Illinois, but moved to New Jersey when I was two years old. We lived there until I was fifteen and then moved back to Illinois, where I finished high school and went to college.
Interview with director – Leland Montgomery
The arts were sort of present in my life for as long as I can remember. My mom and dad had been part of the Oakland Art scene for as long as I can remember. Some of their best friends were the original founders of Burning Man and I remember going to burner parties in warehouses when I was a little kid. My current passion as a filmmaker, however, began when I started doing plays in high school. I remember being interested not only in acting, but also in costume and scenic design. My interest only broadened in college.

Allen has been in the entertainment industry for thirty years as an actor, director, writer and producer – having worked on television, film and stage. He is an award winning director.
DIRECTOR BARRY WORTHINGTON
I grew up in Laytonsville and Gaithersburg, Maryland, and the Gaithersburg area is where I currently reside with my wife. This is where I first picked up a camera when I was 6 years old, and I feel very fortunate to be from here.

My mother from the small hill top town of Pettoranello in the Molise region of Italy and my father, from Isernia in the same region. In a fortuitous chain of events, someone from my mother’s town found out that Princeton University was expanding.
